Fuel treatment is the most critical component of any cogeneration system. Without proper fuel treatment, your generating equipment is exposed to moisture, hydrogen sulfides, and siloxanes which slowly eat away at the inner workings of your equipment.

Calpwr now offers fuel treatment technology for a variety of generation equipment. This patent pending technology can be built to address small biogas generation applications ranging from 30 kW to 2 MW and larger.
Our fuel treatment skids are designed to be seamlessly integrated into Microturbine, reciprocating engine, and larger turbine installations.
Our system takes problematic sour gas from biogas and landfill applications and delivers contaminant-free, dry gas to the power generation equipment resulting in dramatically reduced engine maintenance costs.
Currently, Calpwr has cogeneration plants with accompanying fuel treatment skids installed at six locations. Together, these installations provide over 1.3 megawatts of power and have not experienced any siloxane-related shutdowns.
We recently had independent tests run on one of our installed fuel treatment skids to determine the entirety of corrosive siloxanes that were removed by our skids. The results speak for themselves - see the actual lab report below (Sample No.1 was taken at the skid input; Sample No. 2 was taken at the outlet).

Notice that all corrosive D4 and D5 siloxanes in the fuel were reduced to undetectable levels using our fuel treatment skid.
Calpwr offers engineering as well as installation and maintenance manuals to insure as successful application for years to come.
